Last night was an incredible sight to witness. I spent a few minutes on the cliff next to my house and witnessed Pan-STARRS Comet (Comet C/2011 L4 PANSTARRS), and the crescent moon. As the moon was setting in the west over the pacific ocean, I could barely see the Pan-STARRS Comet. I actually had to use binoculars to spot the comet in the western sky. As the sun light diminished the comet became more visible, but I was in a race to capture the image below before both the moon and comet set.
